The Vivitar 2x Macro Teleconverter is a 2x teleconverting adaptor designed for use with Contax/Yashica SLR cameras that use the C/Y lens mount. It is a multi-purpose teleconverter that can be used to double the effective focal length of lenses mounted onto it while also allowing lenses to focus closer, and more macro, than they would normally be capable of. When paired with a 50mm lens, the lens can achieve a macro magnification of 1:2 and when paired with the standard 50mm macro lens, it can get to a 1:1 magnification.
